TREES
TREES is a make-believe forest in motion, mysterious and alluring, where dancing turns into sharing, and care opens your senses. The forest opens its paths, you walk between the trees, float in the undulating shimmer and fall into a dream. Silent figures come closer, reach out for your fingertips, wrap their arms and legs around you, invite you to join the dancing. Scared and enchanted, you show them your moves and shadow them as they shadow you. And off we go, all in a bunch we limp and crawl, trip on our toes, roll over the floor, pile up in a heap, spread into a web, spin, leap ahead, run over the fields. Bold and careful, one move after the next, together we dance the most sensitive choreography. And as the forest comes to a hold, we lay down, remain tuned to our senses, and wish never to leave.

TREES is performed for and with smaller groups of visitors with the assistance of the ccap performers. The event welcomes every ‘child’ from age 4. A special version is performed for and with children and adults with physical and cognitive variations. Another is specially designed for the elderly and other minorities. No previous dancing experience is required.
TREES is a long-term project in continuous motion, carried by a common made of singular perceptions, real and imagined. Danced by stumbling bodies, touching and touched from a distance, in careful togetherness. The long-life TREES has lived and continuous to live has been and still is a true privilege. And ccap’s most successful project of sharing. Since its premiere in 2011, TREES has been performed 620 times for and with thousands of participants, in a vast diversity of places and social environments, from MoMA PS1 in New York, to the Hall in Farsta where it will continue to perform its dream indefinitely.
