Scary solo
And so she moves around and about, while pondering over several options. Should she settle for a puddle or travel the field? Wait for something to rearrange the plot? Rumble over the edge? Or pull out a scream and coerce a displacement? Mrawrrrr… But then she gets stuck in a groove, and twists several more. The uncertain once again left unresolved. After all, isn’t the point of it all that she moves, that she actually does move? And the kind of response her steps are counting on.
This is a flip by negativity for the optimistic restless, the one who dances wherever she lands, with everything to fear and nothing to lose. Something of a horror story, harmless and quite pathetic.

premiered February 2020 at WELD, and performed in a slightly different shape fall 2020 at Dansens Hus Stockholm. 2021 the solo went on tour with Dansnät Sverige and to ImpulsTanz Vienna, Austria. 2022 to Tanz im August in Berlin, Germany, as part of the ccap retrospective ONCE OVER TIME, and in 2023 at the Teatro Grande in Brescia, Italy. 2024 it performed as part of the SHARP event at The 16th Theater X International Dance + Theater Festival (IDTF) in Tokyo, Japan.
