First under the pending sky of PASS I HALL, where she runs beyond her motive and enjoys the company of siblings and friends.
Later between the paper sheets of Be Mine, where she catches a loop and finds no ending.

Meet the artist

In the occasion of a DEADLOCK, audiences are invited to meet with choreographer Cristina Caprioli and her dancing.

Under two hours and in dialogue with long-term colleague Anna Grip, Caprioli is moving and speaking about the motive and ambition of her latest work, bringing to display her working mode and tools, while disclosing her fears and desires, and welcoming a responsive common atmosphere.

The event is presented at Elverket, as part of Dansens Hus series of encounters with guest artists.
And followed up with a bus trip to the Hall in Farsta where audiences attend the performance of DEADLOCK.

SPRING & FALL STUDY

As an important part of its artistic project, since 2022 ccap has annually run two five-week study periods where Cristina and the team share their thinking and working methods. Participants are involved in one of ccap’s choreographic projects, from its ethical/aesthetic ambition to material becoming and manifestation. The work is based on a daily application of the physiological, kinesthetic principles that stand as ground for the ccap’s dancing, directly linked to the selected project’s specific artistic and social political motives and purpose. Through a continuous overlap of intellectual activity and dancing. In body, language, thought and perspective. Towards increased mobility and precision, in the complex, relational specific. Regardless of prior knowledge, in mutual trust. From self-interest to collective activity.

SPRING & FALL STUDY 2023 took place in the ccap working space at Körsbärsvägen and in the performing space the Hall in Farsta, Stockholm.
