Three women commit to unrestrained meaning production, and in order to dance write a book, which is several. They let the body occupy the words, dance for a while, dwell into a place, and leave for elsewhere. Choreography turns into a disorienting lace of unsafe tendencies traveling adrift. And where language bribes logics the surrounding landscape shifts, and whilst narrative proceeds without a script, the dancers inscribe each other into someone else’s hand, and travel in between.

The project argues for choreography as the braiding of middle sense, that which navigates between words and gestures, exposure and reception, the reciprocally perceived recognized and the disposed dismissed. A middle where each place is a singular here that is multiple. Hemmed into more. Soon scattered and piled up in disorder, where middle sense thrives, grows unstable, beautifully tenacious. Choreography as tower of Babel, tilted.

Anja Arnquist, Cristina Caprioli and Madeleine Lindh, three performers, which have collaborated over many years, in several projects and productions, run the project. This time, they target the cohesive dissonance between them, and therein travel the detours of language, bodies and places. And whilst they pass to and from, the oddest tune is inscribed, and remains clearly undetermined.

So far, the project has produced three publications, three installations, a performance, a lecture performance, a performative reading and a laboratory, presented in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Florence. Upcoming presentations will take place in Copenhagen and Umeå.
